The rules of fasting really do apply to every day living... "pray often, read the Word daily, believe God's promises, restrict food intake and praise and thank the Lord." The every day application of "restricting food intake" (for those times when you are not fasting) is simply applying common sense rules of healthy living... eat fresh, unprocessed foods, everything in moderation, exercise, drink water. Kristen Feola does a great job of breaking this down in simple terms, something that so many "diet books" tend to overanalyze and overstate. I think this book stands alone as a cookbook as well. Love her recipes... fresh, healthy, delicious!
This book does an excellent job of teaching The Daniel Fast, but also leaves readers with Biblical tools for life. I really enjoyed this book!
